The main objective of our Corona Immunitas study is to evaluate the percentage of the population of the canton of Neuchâtel infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during the epidemic waves.
For this purpose, an invitation was sent to the inhabitants of the canton randomly selected by the Federal Statistical Office, following two equivalent samples: the 20-64 years old and the 65+ people.
Volunteers completed a standardized questionnaire and provided a blood sample to determine whether they had developed antibodies to the virus.
The first phase of the study began in June 2020 and ended at the end of October. The second phase is expected to begin in late November 2020 and to be completed in early 2021. It will include multiple samples with a total of 3,700 people selected.
