The study aims to promote understanding of transmission and possible immunity to SARS-CoV-2 in the population of Vaud in order to support public health decisions.
Purpose : To understand how the coronavirus was transmitted in the population of Vaud, what are the factors of transmission and susceptibility to COVID-19.
Participants : 219 people tested positive for COVID-19 in April 2020 from the Vaud registry and all people living under the same roof, for a total of 590 participants. This includes the first cases, recorded during the first 10 days of the pandemic, called index cases, cases randomly selected within the following 4 weeks and all cases of children over 6 months of age tested positive in this period.
Process : A blood test and antibody analysis was carried out in May-June 2020. At the same time, participants completed a questionnaire on the possible appearance of coronavirus-related symptoms and the impact of the pandemic on their personal lives.
