In the Zurich Coronavirus Cohort Study we investigate the long-term clinical consequences as well as the immune response after COVID-19 infection.
In addition, we are investigating how the coronavirus spreads in the population and whether re-infections can occur. For this purpose, persons tested positive for the corona virus in the canton of Zurich are included in the study and monitored for up to one year.
Using electronic questionnaires, we collect information on symptoms, secondary diseases and the well-being of the participants. For this purpose, we take blood samples from them to examine their immune response to the virus. In addition, the study will also include close contacts of the coronavirus cases to ask them about their experiences with the quarantine.
